About Me:
I am a permanent student. I am in my second year of graduate school at UCSB getting a Ph.D. in Special Education. The rest of my time is spent with my amazing family... Mark, Paisley and Otis. I love to travel, eat good food, drink good wine, listen to my husband dj, play with my kids, drink coffee, hang out in bookstores and spend the day with Mark minus the kids eating at restaurants that don't serve hot dogs.
Interests:
mi familia, road trips, fondue, coffee, photography books, macadamia nuts, music (especially mixed cd's by djmark & seeing him live), Special Education, documentaries, Elvis, playing with my kids, interesting people, voting Bush out, learning about different people who have interests other than myself, teaching my kids to appreciate difference, talking with Mark over a drink, waking up on weekends, watching movies, hikes, picnics, sitting on the beach watching Mark throw stones, Halloween and just being happy.
Favorite Music:
This always changes along with my obsessive nature. Right now I have been listening to the Libertines, Magnetic Fields, Belle and Sebastian, the Shins, the Killers, and I recently saw Air at the Santa Barbara Bowl and they were great!
Favorite Movies:
Lately I have been watching a lot of kid movies. But, some of my old favorites are American Movie, Magnolia, Rushmore, and good scary movies like Rosemary's Baby.
Favorite TV Shows:
Ok, here is where it gets a bit embarassing. Gilmore Girls, The O.C., Desperate Housewives, Extreme Home Makeover (I could cry every time), stupid reality shows, and the shows on HBO that I have to wait to come out on DVD (Sopranos, Six Feet Under).
Favorite Books:
It is very rare that I can read books that aren't school related. I did manage to read a few over the summer like Mike Moore's latest and Mark just bought me a book that I thought looked good because of the title (How my breasts saved the world). I can't wait to dig in.
I hope you aren't on acid too.
